Let's play: Grammar Auction

A very simple way to practice grammar!

All you need is a toy hammer like this:

Fake money (those from Monopoly for example)

And sentences with the grammar you want to practise. Some of them should not be correct though.

For example if you want to test your students in Present simple and Present Continuous:

I am tasting the soup.
The soup is tasting good.

You present one sentence to the students on the board (or on your screen if it is an online class)
Students bid their "money" to buy the sentence.

Whoever buys the most correct sentences wins!

This activity can be used as consolidation or even as evaluation.
Have fun!
