Australia Day

International days are always an opportunity to learn something new!

This day is the anniversary of the arrival of the First Fleet at Port Jackson in New South Wales in 1788 and is considered a National day.

So, this is the time for you and your students to learn more about this woderful country.

  • Have your students prepare a presentation about Australia. You can divide them into groups and they can all choose a diffferent subject: History, indigenous culture, animals, geography.
  • With younger children, you can colour a kangaroo or a koala and talk about these wonderful animals
  • You can read and show some interesting facts about this country - Have the students look ath the pictures and guess what the information will be.
  • If you are at home, try cooking some Australian dishes
As always: Have fun!
