This is a very special day for us language teachers!
I have always been fascinated by foreign languages and other civilizations. When I was young I have always admired Uhura in Star Trek because she could speak and decipher every new language she encountered.
How to celebrate this special day?
Say hello in all these languages... have the students or your kids match the country with the word.
Have them listen to songs in different languages or play videos of different European people talking.
Finaly let the children try to say hello in different languages or sing a foreign song!
Whatever you do, have fun, as always!
