Slinky day

This thingy was originally designed in the 1940's.  People make it go down stairs, piles of books and it is really fun to watch.

How to celebrate?

This time we can use a little CLIL. Divide students into pairs. Have one slingy for each pair. Each pair has a slingy and this can go down some stairs. Students observe / time how fast their slingy goes down and note and compare their times. Let them guess why / how one goes faster / slower than the other.

As always have fun!
